มาตรฐานรองเท้าเซฟตี้

รองเท้าเซฟตี้ คือ รองเท้าที่ช่วยป้องการการบาดเจ็บในขณะปฏิบัติงาน ซึ่งผลิตตาม มาตรฐานรองเท้าเซฟตี้ ส่วนใหญ่จะป้องกันการกระแทกของของที่ตกใส่ปลายเท้า และป้องกันการเหยียบของแหลมทิ่มทะลุเท้าได้ ด้วยการใส่หัวเหล็กที่มีความแข็งแรง และเสริมแผ่นเหล็กในพื้นรองเท้า ทำให้ช่วยป้องการการบาดเจ็บจากการทำงานได้
นอกจากนั้นความต้องการของสถานที่ทำงานบางที่ ยังต้องการการป้องกันเรื่องของไฟฟ้าสถิตย์ ESD หรือน้ำซึมเข้ารองเท้า การบาดด้านข้างของสิ่งมีคม ซึ่งเป็นส่วนเพิ่มที่มากขึ้นกับการปฏิบัติงานที่เหมาะสม
มาตรฐานรองเท้าเซฟตี้ ของสหภาพยุโรป EN345
รองเท้านิรภัยคู่ใดจะได้รับเครื่องหมาย มาตรฐานรองเท้าเซฟตี้ EN345 อันเป็นข้อบังคับหลักของยุโรปหรือเครื่องหมายมาตรฐาน ISO EN20345 ซึ่งได้กำหนดขึ้นมาใหม่เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ ต้องมีคุณสมบัติดังต่อไปนี้
- หัวรองเท้า (Safety Toes) ต้องให้การป้องกันแรงกระแทก (Impact) สูงถึง200 จูลได้
- ผ่านการทดสอบแรงบีบ (Compression Test)
- วัสดุส่วนบน (The Upper Material) ต้องมีคุณภาพและความหนาที่สามารถต้านทานการขัดสี (Abrasion Resistance) ในระดับที่กำหนดไว้
- พื้นรองเท้า ต้องมีความต้านทานความร้อน (Heat Resistance) ความต้านทานการขัดสี(Abrasion Resistance) การดูดซับแรงกระแทก(Shock Absorption) รวมทั้ง ความต้านทานทั้งน้ำมันและสารเคมีชนิดที่ได้กำหนดไว้แล้ว(Resistanceto both oil and certain chemicals)
ทั้งนี้ มาตรฐานรองเท้าเซฟตี้ EN 345 และ ISO EN20345 บังคับให้ผู้ผลิตเพิ่มตัวอักษรระบุวัตถุประสงค์การใช้งานหรือสภาพแวดล้อมในการใช้งานรองเท้า โดยเครื่องหมายรับรองมาตรฐาน ได้แก่

วิธีการวัดไซส์รองเท้าหัวเหล็ก
1. วัดขนาดความยาวของเท้า ตั้งแต่จุดปลายเท้าถึงเส้นจุดส้นเท้า
2. เพื่อความสบายในการสวมใส่ รองเท้านิรภัย ควรบวกเผื่อไว้ 0.20-0.50 เซนติเมตร แล้วเทียบไซด์รองเท้าหัวเหล็กตามตาราง
หมายเหตุ : ด้านกว้างเท้าไม่จำเป็นต้องวัด เนื่องจากรองเท้าเซฟตี้ของบริษัทหน้ากว้างทุกรุ่น
